The vines for this wine were planted in 1962 already and brought in a harvest of just 40 hl / ha in this year.
The most careful vineyard work, a consistent yield reduction, multiple selection of the grapes and a gentle hand picking form the basis for our Riesling "S", which was harvested at 105 °Oe and a good proportion of noble mold Botrytis on September 22.
The further maturation took place, after primary sedimentation, cooled by fermentation in a stainless steel tank for approx. 4 weeks and a yeast contact time of 4 months.
The wine shows sparkling aromas of vineyard peach and lime, is powerful and minerally in appearance and, at 45 to 50 °F, is the perfect companion to fish and seafood or white meat and poultry.
